Hurricane Matthew is a powerful storm impacting the south of Haiti. Food For The Poor Canada is asking Canadians to work with us to relieve some of the devastating effects that this storm has brought.

Please join us for our Fourth Annual Food For The Poor Canada Lunch as we celebrate the work of our donors and raise funds for Healthcare in Jamaica.

The new school has three classrooms as well as a kitchen, washrooms, water system and sickbay.

The income generated by the chicken farm will support the orphanage in providing safe and healthy accommodation, health care and education for the children. The chicken farm has brought stability and security to the orphanage.

This community of 155 homes was built in response to the border crisis between the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

The new school has four classrooms school which will be able to hold the 100 children and also allow for growth.

Food For The Poor has a strong network of health partners across both Haiti and Jamaica with over 200 hospitals and medical clinics.

This is the 10th home that the students of Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School have built with Food For The Poor Canada.

Sixty preschoolers are set to access free education at the Pedro Plains Infant School in St. Elizabeth, which is being built by Hall of Fame track and field legend Donovan Bailey, and the Donovan Bailey Foundation (DBF).

Built in the north of Haiti with support from FFP’s generous US and Canadian donors, 100 families now have a new home, a health center, a community centre, a marketplace and clean water.
