Hope Children’s Home in Guyana has 5 new twin-size bunk beds and 10 new mattresses thanks to Canadian donors!

This donation was made possible through our Angels of Hope program that enhances the care that vulnerable children receive. Hope Children’s Home cares for vulnerable children by providing them with food, clothing, and shelter giving them a safe and clean environment where they can learn and grow. The home has grown to accommodate up to 50 children at a time, with ages ranging from just a few weeks old to 18 years old.

The need for these beds was urgent, improving the living conditions of children currently residing there and increasing the home’s capacity to take in additional children for years to come.

The administrator of Hope Children’s Home, Ms. Mahadai Samichand, expressed her gratitude:

“I must say thank you to FFP for the beds; we currently have an intake of new children at the home, thus this donation will surely have a positive impact on the lives of the children, as they will now have comfortable beds to sleep on.”

Food For The Poor Guyana provides support to 5 other children’s homes: A Sanctuary Children’s Home, St. John’s Bosco Boys’ Orphanage, Joshua House Children’s Centre, Ruimveldt Children’s Home and Hauraruni Girls’ Home.

Thank you to the Canadian donors giving children the opportunity to learn, grow, connect and play together.
