Nearly half of Haiti is going hungry, facing emergency levels of food insecurity. In the community of Derac, where FFPC donors helped build 60 homes for families, the issue is no different. Not only is access to food limited, but the community itself is facing water supply issues, so families cannot grow their own food, even if they wanted to.
To address this, FFPC and FFPH worked together to purchase and distribute food kits in Derac. 120 families received a food kit containing rice, black beans, spaghetti, vegetable oil, and canned salmon to help feed themselves and their children.
“I would like to express my gratitude to FFPC for the meals they generously provided. I pray God gives the courage and strength to FFPC and donors so that they will be in good health to continue their mission and continue to support me and my family.” – Claudette D.
“Thank you a lot to FFPC for what you have done, and I pray God gives strength to the organization. Thank you very much. May God bless them in everything they do.” – Gertrude J.
“I thank FFPC and the donors for this ration of food, and I will pray for them so that they continue to have plenty of chances to accomplish more good work. May God grant them health and protection. God bless you, and thank you very much.” – Marie-Helene L.
