We are proud to announce that Food For The Poor Canada ambassador, Marsha Brown, has been recognized for her contributions in support of communities in Canada and across the Caribbean and Latin America. Marsha was recently awarded the Viola Desmond Alumni Award from Toronto Metropolitan University!
“Building a school changes the lives of children for generations to come and leaves an incredible legacy.”
– Marsha, at the Valley Christian Ministry Basic School build in 2022
She has been a champion for communities in Jamaica, fundraising for equitable education, school supplies, volunteering on school builds and rallying her network to build a home for a family. Marsha was with us on last summer’s volunteer school build for Valley Christian Ministry Basic School!
Outside of her work with FFPC, Marsha lends her expertise to support asylum seekers, tackle domestic violence and inadequate housing and provide employment training to marginalized youth.
We are honoured to include passionate, generous leaders like Marsha, in FFPC’s community of supporters. Congratulations Marsha!
