With the COVID-19 lockdown keeping us at home, we all need something to look forward to.
Together, let’s look forward to our next volunteer build!
Join us from July 16-23, 2022 for a unique volunteer experience in Jamaica; 4 days of vacation and 3 days of work! You will have the opportunity to give back to a community in a meaningful way by being part of a larger movement to improve education in Jamaica, by building a school.
Over the course of 3 days, you will work to frame and hammer, complete window and door installation, and paint the exterior of a new school building – no experience is required! On the final day, you will take part in an opening ceremony to celebrate your hard work, and welcome students to their new school.
In order to participate, we ask each volunteer to fundraise a minimum of $2,500 to help build the school. Your donations up to $2,500 will be matched by our lead donor.
We will have up to 25 volunteers join us for this incredible experience, so please reach out to secure your spot by signing up and providing a $500 donation to join the July 2022 Jamaica Build team.
We’ve set up a fundraising page for you to share with your family and friends, so they can support your effort in raising money for a school in Jamaica.
The resources below include important information regarding travel insurance, health waivers, flights, and hotel arrangements, so please read through them thoroughly. FFPC will support you with directions once the location of the school, hotel, and airport are decided, and you will be responsible for the cost and arrangements.
It will truly be a life-changing experience, one you will not want to miss! For additional resources and information, such as waivers, sample trip itinerary, and next steps, please see the below Volunteer Resources section.

This trip will happen within the guidelines and recommendations outlined by the Canadian and Jamaican governments. We are moving forward with the expectation that pandemic travel restrictions will be eased by July 2022, but if it is not safe to travel, we will delay the school build until it is safe to do so.
