The Guyana Dance-a-thon event was successful in raising thousands of dollars towards building a village in Baramita, Guyana. A group of hard working, passionate volunteers organized a Dance-a-thon and its dancers participated in the Waltz and Tango for hours to raise funds at the Beaverton Legion on November 3rd, 2019.
The funds will help to build 10 homes and a community center in a very rural part of Guyana. The community of Baramita has great challenges with lack of infrastructure, access to health care, education, and safe housing and this Dance-a-thon is helping us to get closer to impacting this community for generations to come.
