Food For The Poor Canada works with local education authorities and communities to ensure and enhance access to a quality education.

SUPPORT FOR EDUCATION EMPOWERS US TO:

Provide scholarships to help secure the attendance of primary school children.

Support inclusive educational projects such as literacy training for adult women in Guyana.

Provide or upgrade essential infrastructure and resources, such as running water, sanitation, and playgrounds for schools.

OVERVIEW OF OUR IMPACT:

Since 2010, we have built 41 educational structures to help increase teaching space as student populations increased.

Built 39 playgrounds providing sporting and play zones for students.

Shipped 19,760 books shipped for primary schools and local libraries in Jamaica.

Shipped almost 6,000 filled backpacks, providing students materials and resources needed for classrooms.

Enhanced learning technology by distributing 250 laptops and computers.

Expanded learning experiences with shipment of musical instruments for summer band camps.

Our Education Fund aligns with the UN Sustainable Goal #4: Quality Education.
