UNITED FOR CHANGED LIVES

Together, let's help those in need and renew hope.

Food For The Poor Canada

Food For The Poor Canada (FFTP-Canada) is part of a strong network of international charities dedicated to alleviating poverty in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Ferdinand Mahfood answered the call of God and founded Food For The Poor in 1982 inspired by Matthew 25:40 (NIV):

"…Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me."

Making an Impact Through a Strong International Network

Since 1982, Food For The Poor has developed relations and grown to be a part of a strong network of international charities dedicated to changing lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Over time, independent Food For The Poor entities were established in the United States of America, Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana, and Canada.

Food For The Poor Canada was incorporated in 1991, allowing clergymen the ability to volunteer and provide support from Canada.

In 2008, with the leadership of Samantha Mahfood, niece of the late Ferdinand Mahfood, Food For The Poor Canada officially launched its Canadian operative and administrative office.

Food For The Poor Canada is very proud to be a part of the Food For The Poor network that is working to change lives for the better. We are indeed "United in God's Work."
