Food For The Poor-Canada is proud to partner with Sagicor Foundation Jamaica in support of its upcoming Run for Western Jamaica, happening on Sunday, February 15, 2026, in Kingston, Jamaica. The 2026 Sagicor SIGMA Corporate Run is now entering its 28^th year, and the 2026 run will focus on responding to the impact of Hurricane Melissa on schools across western Jamaica.

This year’s SIGMA Run aims to raise approximately $150million JMD (equivalent to $1.35 million CAD) to help to rebuild safe, functional learning environments for students and educators, supporting long-term recovery and resilience within affected communities. Funds raised will support the restoration of five schools that were severely damaged by the hurricane: Salt Marsh Primary, Mayfield Primary and Infant, Hopewell High, Green Pond High, and Little London High.

While the run itself takes place in Kingston, Jamaica, its impact extends far beyond the course. Jamaicans living in Canada, along with Canadians who care deeply about Jamaica, continue to play an important role by supporting the run through donations from abroad. Thank you in advance for your support!
